Real Tantra is not just about finding your
pleasure spots, or pleasuring your partner. Tantra isn't really about connecting sexually with another person.
Tantra is about connecting with yourself first of all - being whole.
Once that re-connection has been made, then you are able to connect with others truly, with life, with the world, and with the divine. |
"If the purpose of human knowledge is the elimination of human suffering, then
knowledge which removes human suffering completely is the greatest knowledge."

The essence of Tantra is simple.
But it has been totally misunderstood.
Tantra is about profound well-being. The end of human suffering.
This is achieved by self-mastery and self-realization.
This occurs either through managing the currents of the life-energies,
or through creating conditions for them to come naturally into balance.
In Tantra, "Masculine" and "Feminine" are used as representations
of the polarity of energies
that together make all of existence possible.

Tantra is about balance,
harmony, and
connectedness to all the elements in existence.
Tantra is about love...
not just human love,
but the all-encompassing love and connectedness that
is the blissful divine nature of existence itself.
Tantra can involve a partner, and can involve sexual ecstasy, but the ultimate goal is 'non-dual bliss'.
The heavenly sexual pleasure associated with Tantra is only a "side-effect" of the practice, it is not the goal.
