ABOUT PETER
For 10 years, Peter taught meditation and gave spiritual development guidance to seekers in England and Portugal.

When Peter settled in Lisbon, through his integration and simplification of many systems of healing into what has become known as 'Energy-Flow', he became known as the 'therapist's therapist'.

After an 'existential crisis' and an insight into 'spiritual bypassing', Peter focused his energy into using Tantra as the main way of supporting the development of a healthy, whole human being.

His background with Kriya Yoga and Taoist practices led to the creation of an approach to Tantra that honors the original teachings of the Yogi-saints and Siddhas, maintaining a direct link to the ever-present source of Liberation.

This led to a heart-felt response from other Tantra teachers, as well as Yoga teachers, who were relieved to find depth and clarity in the teachings, as well as valuable support for the integration of their personal experiences with Kundalini.

This inspired the development of courses designed specifically for Yoga teachers, Tantra teachers and holistic therapists.

Since 2012 Peter has presented his work to a growing international community of scientists and spiritual teachers through the SAND (Science and Nonduality) Conferences in Holland, Italy, and the USA, exploring a deeper and more integrative understanding of the human being and our potential.

Peter is based in Sintra, Portugal, where people come to him for training retreats and healing support.

Peter's vision is 'Heaven on Earth', and his passion is supporting others who have this same calling to heal and inspire the world. with their gifts.

"I came from a very multicultural background,
so
I never felt identified fully with any single culture, or belief system.

This left me free to wonder and explore who and what I really am.

One of my greatest challenges and my greatest blessings came from the radical difference between my parents: my mother was a mystic, and my father was a skeptic.

I learnt to mediate between the two, to see both points of view, and this taught me one of my most formative lessons about respecting people's differences.

So my life has been all about finding ways to
transform opposition and conflict into harmony and understanding."
Peter realized early in life that sometimes misunderstandings occur simply because of people's differences... because of differences in perspective... of differences in the ways that we express ourselves, and the differenes in how we see each other.

Even as a child Peter found himself wondering about the world's spiritual and religious traditions.
In spite of their obvious differences, and in spite of their conflicts and wars, could they actually - without realizing it - be pointing to the same underlying reality?

Other big questions haunted him too... what is the 'soul', what is 'death', what is 'God''?

Growing up with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and to understand life, and questioning conventions, Peter experienced a spiritual crisis and awakening in his teens.

Inspired by the meditative Eastern wisdom traditions, and disappointed with the limitations of academic knowledge, Peter dropped out of university where he had been studying psychology, and lived for a few years as a drummer in the London rock and grunge scene while also studying western and eastern philosophies.

During this time he also opened himself to guidance from a living spiritual teacher.

Having found his first teacher of Kriya Yoga, and immersing himself in the practice, he overcame the life-threatening hedonistic tendencies that had co-existed with his spiritual quest, and he dedicated himself entirely to the inner spiritual exploration.

His life became a quest to recover and share the original and timeless teachings of the spiritual masters in a form that could be understood by modern seekers.

For twenty years, he continued to study the ancient traditions with several spiritual teachers and also learned about spiritual healing.

He studied everything he could find about spirituality, but found himself especially coming back to meditation, Kriya Yoga, Taoism, and energy practices.

He started to become known as a meditation teacher, giving workshops and talks on spiritual Enlightenment.

However, after finding his life-partner and becoming a father, there was a deeper maturing of Peter's understanding.

Although he had realized the unity of all spiritual wisdom, the unity of Self and the Divine, Peter now recognized that there was still a fragmentation in his being.

It became clear to him that a full and healthy expression of spirituality, needed to acknowledge and embrace the sexual dimension of life.

He accepted the challenge, and he and his work transformed from teaching meditation to teaching Tantra.

Through Tantra, it became possible to face the fragmentation of the human being head-on, leaving no part of the soul behind in the shadows.

The sacredness of sexuality and the extraordinary power of consciously using the primordial creative energy in the spiritual path became a new focus in his teaching.

But after a few years as a teacher of Tantra, seeing what people were looking for in the name of 'Tantra', it became evident that Tantra today is not what it used to be.

Returning from his fourth trip to India in 2012, Peter was asking himself if he should completely drop the word 'Tantra' from his work, recognizing how the meaning has changed so drastically in modern times.

Ultimately the decision was to maintain the name of 'Tantra', but to bring a focus back to the importance of a fully embodied spirituality, not forgetting the body and the sexual dimension, but also not letting sexuality become the central focus.

Drawing from intuition and his ever-present spirtual guides, Peter has been bringing to light an approach to spirituality and Tantra that is 'non-dual' at its core and that is becoming recognized as a powerful and clear modern-day expression of the ancient knowledge.

Peter has been increasingly sought out as an enthusiastic and clear teacher of 'Enlightenment', of Tantra, and Meditation.

He i
s now known for effectively re-introducing the Liberation teachings of Tantric Yoga for seekers in modern times.

Although normally teaching through spontaneous 'Satsang' in workshops and retreats, Peter has started to transmit the teachings in a more systematic format through courses and now also in teacher trainings.

Peter is founder and director of Moksha Dharma School of Embodied Self-Realization.
